Is it Too Late?
By a PSI TECH consultant

The author of this article, a PSI TECH aerospace and defense consultant, has years of experience in military combat and covert operations and currently is employed as a defense contractor as a civilian.

In this ever expanding game of cat and mouse that is going on between Western intelligence services and Osama bin Laden, we, the public are given only bits and pieces of what actually going on in the world. In fact, by the admission of our own government, we are not being told the entire truth. There are instead, television program after program of endless flag waving drivel. Segments on how the survivors of the September 11th attacks are doing, and how the US led coalition is beating back the evil doers. We see article after article about what "may" be. Endless speculation about whether Mr. Bin Laden has bought a suitcase nuke, or whether he has actually purchased nuclear material to make a radiological bomb. So let's look at some interesting tidbits of information that have been floating around, appearing and then disappearing from the news services.

Intelligence sources have reported that bin Laden had almost certainly procured a supply of uranium-235 twelve months before the September 11 suicide attacks. The uranium was believed to have reached him in a multimillion deal with a Ukrainian-born mobster called Semion Mogilevich. What ever occurred to this report? It came and it went. And we are told that the Western Intelligence Services still aren't sure. Hmmmm. It was also reported that bin Laden's Lieutenants were shown the container that held the uranium 235 in a meeting that all attended inside Afghanistan.

Keep in mind now that bin Laden and company has been planning his activities for years in advance. So the question is, where did this nuclear material disappear to? Is he keeping it with him, to be used as a nuclear pillow at night? Or is it elsewhere?

And what about the Russians? Also reported has been our friend General Leved and his missing suitcase nukes. How can a country not account for over 80 of its specialty nuclear weapons? We are told that the nukes must be missing and are on the black market. Yet we hear of no ongoing investigation by the Russians. Nothing other than that they must be on the black market for sale. Hmmmm. Has our friend Osama been out looking for bargains on the nuclear weapons market in the last few years?

Consider the following items:

Item #1: In the first week of October, a Pakistani arrested on immigration charges in the course of the FBI investigation into the September 11 suicide attacks, complained of bleeding gums and pain, symptoms of gingivitis. He was treated with antibiotics, but was found dead in his cell in Hudson Count jail in Kearny, New Jersey, three weeks later. The cause of death was not released, nor the dead man's identity. Medical experts note that the bleeding gums the anonymous Pakistani was treated for are a symptom of radiation poisoning, suggesting he might have been a "mule" transporting nuclear materials or devices into America. (A subsequent investigation revealed that he had contracted gingivitis as a result of radiation-induced leukemia.)This explanation would imply that more than one such carrier is employed by al Qaeda to smuggle nuclear materials or devices into the United States, Western Europe and the Middle East; their mission being to plant their deadly burdens in pre-arranged secret locations, ready for activation.

Item #2: At roughly the same time, another Pakistani was detained at the Allenby Bridge crossing from Jordan to Israel. According to initial published reports, he was caught trying to smuggle in a "dirty" nuclear device (a conventional explosive mixed with nuclear materials that spreads radiation). An exhaustive investigation revealed that the arrested intruder carried no nuclear device. However, he suffered the same symptoms as the man who died in Hudson Jail, New Jersey, indicating he had been exposed to dangerous doses of radiation. Intelligence sources reveal that Israel has recently installed hidden geiger counters in the battery of detectors at its international border crossings. The counter pointed border officials to the suspected "mule," who most probably reached Jordan from Abu Dhabi. Israel handed him over to the United States, but was left asking itself: What exactly was the Pakistani's mission? And have other members of the mule pack managed to gain entry?

Item #3 Supplies of potassium iodide have been found in several al Qaeda chemical and bomb making factory sites in Afghanistan. Potassium iodide is used to treat radiation sickness.

Looking on the above information, I have to say to myself, yes, they've managed to acquire nuclear materials and most likely get their equipment into the U.S. And if we tell ourselves that they have done that, then it's only a matter of time when the terrorists decide to set off their toys. And we know that they do have the will to use these things. Don't be fooled by all the flag waving specials you see on T.V. Don't get caught up in the nightly pictures of the Taliban being bombed into extinction. And don't believe it when they tell you that everything is going to be all right. It's time for all of us to sit down and do some planning as to what we might do if it is too late. Be well.
